Definitely one of my top bucket list items and so grateful to finally see it. And if you are going to visit, wake up early to beat the crowds! It’s a good 2 hr drive south from Auckland, and a fixed 2 hr escorted tour – no wandering about by yourself (which is good). Next time, coming back for the evening dinner tour, and staying the night nearby.
