Sunset over Death Valley at Badwater salt flats. To get to best area of these salt flats requires about about a mile’s hike into the middle of the dry river bed. The salt chunks can be quite hard, and quite a few has this fine fluff / fur of salt hairs. The membrane walls of these hexagon patterns are made of mud dirt. It was a surreal experience that evening. This concludes my trilogy of Death Valley posts – I hope you enjoyed them. ⠀
